The Eastbound I-70 Toll Lane is not supposed to be open all the time

There have been some questions about the toll lane on Eastbound I-70 near Empire. Some people complained when it was closed Friday night. C-DOT's Tamara Rollison says the toll lane is actually only open 100 days a year during holidays and weekends. She says under Federal law it's supposed to remain a shoulder and available to emergency vehicles at all other times. In a few years, Rollison says there will be a similar toll lane for Westbound traffic on I-70.
