Ryan Routh, a 59-year-old man, was found guilty of attempting to assassinate President Donald Trump during a golf outing in Florida last year. After the verdict was read in a Fort Pierce federal courthouse, Routh reportedly tried to stab himself in the neck with a pen, but U.S. Marshals restrained him. His daughter, Sara Routh, reacted emotionally, shouting that the case was unfair and claiming it was rigged.

"Don’t do anything. I will get you out. What the f---, f---, he didn’t hurt anybody. This is not fair. This is all rigged – you guys are a--holes," she screamed according to Fox News.

Routh faced five charges, including attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate, assaulting a federal officer, and possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number. He represented himself during the trial, which culminated in a guilty verdict after the jury deliberated for under three hours.

Routh will be sentenced on December 18 and faces the possibility of life in prison.
