With all the amazing restaurants around Colorado, you can find a delicious meal everywhere you turn. What really makes a dining experience memorable, however, is if the restaurant has charm and character — decor dating back decades lining the wall, endearing service that makes you feel like old friends or even menus with dishes so beloved they haven't changed in years.
According to a list compiled by LoveFood, the "most charming restaurant" in all of Colorado is Alpino Vino. This Mountain Village eatery serves Italian cuisine at one of the highest-elevation restaurants on the continent. Alpino Vino, which has a 4.3 star rating on Google and more than 100 reviews, is located at Top of Life 14 at 565 Mountain Village Boulevard in Telluride.
Here's what LoveFood had to say about this "delightful" restaurant:
"The cozy Alpino Vino, in Colorado's Telluride Ski Resort, is North America's second-highest restaurant at nearly 12,000 feet, treating diners to picturesque views of snow-capped trees and mountains. The restaurant, which specializes in gourmet Italian food, is full of rustic charm, with a wood-burning fireplace, sheepskin blankets, and an outdoor wine bar. You can ski right up to the front door or arrive by heated snow coach."
