There's nothing quite like driving around beautiful, scenic highways, car windows rolled down and your favorite music turned up as you cruise along gorgeous stretches of road, whether on a road trip with friends or for a solo trip to enjoy a sunny day.

According to a list compiled by LoveExploring, the "most scenic road" in all of Colorado is Trail Ridge Road, which gives drivers a stunning snapshot of the natural beauty the Centennial State has to offer, specifically with its breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains and surrounding scenery.

Here's what LoveExploring had to say about this beautiful stretch of scenery:

"National Park roads are nearly always beautiful, but this route through the Rockies reaches new heights. Literally, as it's the highest continuous highway in the US, soaring to 12,183 feet at one point. It covers around 48 miles and all of it is gorgeous, with patches flying high above forest canopies and offering endless views of the tundra below. Look out for the resident wildlife, from bighorn sheep to scurrying marmots."
