President Donald Trump began his Wednesday with a series of tweets, including on that quoted a Newsmax radio host who called the president the "King of Israel."

The tweets from Trump come one day after the president questioned the loyalties of Jewish people who vote for Democrats. Trump began his tweet thanking Wayne Allyn Root for his comments.

“Thank you to Wayne Allyn Root for the very nice words. “President Trump is the greatest President for Jews and for Israel in the history of the world, not just America, he is the best President for Israel in the history of the world...and the Jewish people in Israel love him like he’s the King of Israel. They love him like he is the second coming of God...But American Jews don’t know him or like him. They don’t even know what they’re doing or saying anymore. It makes no sense! But that’s OK, if he keeps doing what he’s doing, he’s good forall Jews, Blacks, Gays, everyone. And importantly, he’s good for everyone in America who wants a job.” Wow!" Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.

The source of the quote, Wayne Allyn Root, is a self-described "Jew turned evangelical Christian" who has expressed support for conspiracy theories in t he past - such as the 2017 Las Vegas shooting being a "coordinated Muslim terror attack" by ISIS. Root has also expressed his belief that George Soros paid actors to stage the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville that featured pro-white supremacist chants.

On Tuesday, President Trump made waves for calling American Jews 'disloyal' after he was asked if the United States should reconsider its policies concerning Israel after Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) were banned from the country for supporting the so-called BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) movement.

"I can't even believe that we're having this conversation. Five years ago, the concept of even talking about this, even three years ago, of cutting off aid to Israel because of two people that hate Israel and hate Jewish people,"Trump said.

"Where have they gone that they're defending these two people over the state of Israel? I think that any Jewish people who vote for a Democrat, I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty."

Democrats have traditionally had strong support from the Jewish community with 79 percent of Jewish voters casting their ballot for Democratic candidates in 2018. In 2016, 71 percent of Jewish voters cast their ballot for the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton.

The comments by Trump led to the hashtag #DisloyaltoTrump to trend alongside #KingofIsrael.

Even Senator Bernie Sanders joined the hashtag, writing that he even planned on voting for a Jew for president in 2020 (Sanders is Jewish and would be the first Jewish president if elected in 2020).

Rep. Ilhan Omar had the last word with her tweet, reminding Trump about how his campaign lost the popular vote in 2016 by more than 3 million votes.
