The Denver Broncos started well but could not sustain it.

The result was a 22-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night at CentruyLink Field.

Number one quarterback Joe Flacco played the opening series of the game and led the Broncos on a 12 play, 78 yard drive that ended with Brandon McManus' 25-yard field goal to put the Broncos up 3-0.

Another 25-yarder by McManus made it 6-0 with 6:53 left in the first half.

Then Seattle got down to business, scoring 22 unanswered points on two field goals, two touchdowns and a safety.

Much of that rally was fueled by former Broncos quarterback Paxton Lynch, who is battling Geno Smith to back up Russell Wilson in Seattle.

Flacco finished 3-of-4 passing for 19 yards. Kevin Hogan was 3-of-7 for 27 yards and Lock completed 17-of-28 passes for 180 yards with a four-yard touchdown pass to Devontae Jackson and one interception.
